Red Thread...

There is an ancient Chinese belief which states that there is an invisible red thread that connects each of us to all of the individuals who have been, currently are, and will in the future be important to us in our lives.

This red thread can stretch, twist, and bend… but will never break.

Customer-in-Training

The other night, Jennifer and I took Katie to the grocery store. For the first time, she used one of their carts that was just her size. She has never loved grocery shopping more. She felt very important pushing the cart through the store and carefully placing the groceries in her cart.

Sometimes as we're leaving the store, she won't want to let go of some of the groceries, and it can be tricky checking out. We discovered that when she's the cart pusher, she feels very responsible. When we got to the check-out that night, she very nicely handed us everything in her cart. She was very proud of herself!

 I'm ready to go shopping!

Let's go check out the fruit and vegetables!

Do we need any apples?

You have to be careful when you put groceries in your cart.

I think I'm ready to go!
