Red Thread...

There is an ancient Chinese belief which states that there is an invisible red thread that connects each of us to all of the individuals who have been, currently are, and will in the future be important to us in our lives.

This red thread can stretch, twist, and bend… but will never break.

Seeing Kai

Katie and Kai had a play date before Katie's dance class last weekend. I didn't get as many pictures as usual, but here were the highlights.

* Kai seemed to like Katie's new trains.

* Aunt Jennifer remains the best train track builder in the house.

* Aunt Jennifer and Kathy are both really good at making choo-choo noises as they play with the train.

* Katie gave Kai a black marker, which Kai could open. The coloring side ended up in his mouth when no one was watching. Thank goodness for baby wipes.

* Katie enjoyed sharing fruit pieces with Kai from her new board game. Kai, in turn, liked to share them with Jennifer.

* Kai's mom, Kathy, looks very fashionable in a red, curly wig from Brave. Kai looks good too.

* Katie got to perform a few twirls in her dance leotard for Kathy and wanted Kai to come to dancing too.

Here's just part of the track Aunt Jennifer built!

Kathy looks good with red hair.

Kai was a lot more patient with this wig than I was. I yanked it off as soon as it touched my head.

Here's some fruit, Kai.

Do you want to read the instruction manual to see how to play?
