Red Thread...

There is an ancient Chinese belief which states that there is an invisible red thread that connects each of us to all of the individuals who have been, currently are, and will in the future be important to us in our lives.

This red thread can stretch, twist, and bend… but will never break.

Finishing the Evening in Boston

At the end of the night, we took Katie to see The New England Holocaust Memorial. On the way to see it, I tried to explain the holocaust to Katie in the simplest terms. It's a hard thing to explain to a seven year old. After that, we went to see the site of the Boston Massacre. Hmm...when you put it in writing it sounds like a rather depressing last two stops, but we love learning about and from history.

I didn't think the Holocaust Memorial was the place for smiling, but I tried to smile a little for my picture.

This circle represents the place where the Boston Massacre happened.

The massacre was right outside the Old State House.

By the time we headed home, I was pretty tired. It was a great, but a full, first day in Boston!
