Delicious Blackberries

Summer at our house always correlates to juicy wild blackberries. We hadn't been out much to pick blackberries this year, and Katie decided that she had to go out on one of the hottest afternoons of the summer. We got a small container that would be filled up fast and went out for berries. It's always exciting for Katie that there is so much fruit at her fingertips!

It was worth it to go out in the heat when I could reach the juicy berries! 

It's always so exciting when the blackberries become ripe. 

Of course I had to try at least one! 

Delicious! 

I helped a lot more this year with the picking. The thorns weren't quite as scary! 

With the heat beating down,... 

...I decided that an almost-full bowl was quite enough for this night!
