Red Thread...

There is an ancient Chinese belief which states that there is an invisible red thread that connects each of us to all of the individuals who have been, currently are, and will in the future be important to us in our lives.

This red thread can stretch, twist, and bend… but will never break.

Random Acts of Kindness

When we were coming home from Leavenworth, we stopped for dinner. After we ordered our food, a man came up to Katie and tried to say hi. Katie chose to hide behind my legs. As this man was leaving he gave Katie two dollars, and told her she could buy herself a cookie after dinner. Katie was so proud of her money. She kept it safe all the way through dinner, and then she went with my mom to order herself a cookie. She had her money all ready to pay when the worker told her that she could have the cookie for free. More kindness. So Katie still has her money ready to spend on a treat at some point. Random acts of kindness always make me want to do something kind for someone else.

Can you believe this money is all for me?
