Red Thread...

There is an ancient Chinese belief which states that there is an invisible red thread that connects each of us to all of the individuals who have been, currently are, and will in the future be important to us in our lives.

This red thread can stretch, twist, and bend… but will never break.

Vancouver Aquarium

After exploring a bit of Stanley Park, we made our way to the Vancouver Aquarium, which is located in the park. Katie had never been to an aquarium, so it was a first for her. She loved the jelly fish, the turtle, the rays, and the octopus (because it was just like Ursula). After looking at a lot of the aquarium, Jennifer and I took Katie outside for a dolphin show. By the time we got there, it was pretty crowded, so we couldn't see a lot but we could see the dolphins when they jumped, and Katie was thrilled to see the "BIG, GIANT SPLASH" that always came after a jump.

It was exciting to get to the aquarium and see the fish!

The tanks were huge!

It was so much fun to see all the different sea creatures!

The aquarium had a lot of jellyfish!

We all wanted a picture in front of them.

Garyldine and I posed for a picture in the bubble under the aquarium.

I loved the rays!

There were so many more fish than we have at home.

I had fun in the kids' area too.

We had a hard time seeing the dolphins, but it was fun to watch them jump and listen to them talk.

Aunt Jennifer found the penguins.

When we left, Garyldine and I stopped at the fountain.

It was one of my favorite places to be!

Grandma and I liked to hold our fingers under the water.

I used all of Garyldine's coins to make wishes.

After the aquarium, we went on another walk through the park to find the miniature train.

We walked for awhile until Aunt Jennifer found the train, but...

…the train rides didn't start until the next day!

We got our happy selves back in the car and went to find our new "Big House."
